If you wish to discuss guide dog-related issues, here are two other mailing lists that generate a lot of traffic.
buddy-l is a list for people who have what the list information describes as a "legitimate interest in living or working with guide dogs." To further quote the list owners - "We define legitimate interest broadly. You may be a guide dog handler, trainer, or puppy raiser; or a family member, friend, or partner of the above. You might be someone possibly interested in obtaining, training, or puppy-raising a guide dog in the future. You might be someone who works in (or who is interested in working in) the areas of blindness-focused education, orientation and mobility, or rehabilitation services. However, this is not a general dog or pet list. If you are a dog owner or dog lover without a more specific interest in blindness and guide dogs, this list would not be appropriate for you."
To subscribe to buddy-l, send a blank message with blank subject line to buddy-l-subscribe@egroups.com
"The juno-l list is a global mailing list for graduates of Guiding Eyes for the Blind, and their affiliates. Others with expressed interests in professionally trained guide dogs are also encouraged to participate. This list is for discussions of issues related to guide dogs, including (but not limited to) care, handling, and mobility.
To subscribe to juno-l, send an email message to Majordomo@cloud9.net with the following command in the body of the message:
